Servings: 4 Preparation: 20 min
- 250g rye flour
- 250 g of wheat flour
- 500ml milk
- 50g butter
- 50g soft brown sugar

- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground aniseed
- 3 eggs
- meat: 200 g (breakfast) bacon cut into small slices or strips; 200 g dry sausage thinly sliced
Mix the ingredients, except the meat and stir until it forms a lumpy batter. Cover the bowl and let it stand overnight in a cool place. The next day it becomes a thick batter. Add water at discretion: the batter must be thicker than normal pancake batter.
Let an electric waffle iron heat considerably. Grease the iron with a piece of bacon fat. Put a pile of batter onto the hot iron, put a slice of bacon and two slices of sausage on, close the iron and allow the waffle to get done in about half a minute. The spekdik is not crisp- it stays soft.

Sugar-free and Gluten-free Waffles Recipe
100% almond flour is free from wheat, gluten, cow’s milk, lactose, yeast, casein, soy protein, soy oil, added salt, refined carbohydrates or sugars! Almond flour is rich in vitamins B1, B2, B6 and E and magnesium.
These waffles are gluten free, dairy free, sugar-free and carbohydrate-poor.
Ingredients:
- Coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons almond flour
- 1 tablespoon buckwheat flour
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons almond milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 drops of stevia (or 1 tsp. Honey)
Grease your waffle iron with a little coconut oil. Make the batter by adding all the ingredients in a bowl and mixing with a mixer until you get a fine batter. Pour the batter into the waffle iron for about 5 minutes. Do not open the waffle iron during this time because otherwise you do not get nice waffles. After 5 minutes, the dough hardens and it is ready to eat.
Add on top of the waffle some honey, peanut butter, cheese or fresh fruit!
